Faculty Research Office Lead

A vacancy exists for a Faculty Research Office Lead in the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences (FHES) at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). This role will be primarily located at our AUT North Campus, but the role involves working with colleagues across our four AUT campuses.The primary purpose of this position is to take responsibility for the overall strategic development and planning, as well as the management and maintenance of processes, procedures, and systems to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Faculty Research Office. This role is integral to supporting our Faculty in meeting its objectives for research activities and ensuring the continual improvement of research culture and performance in the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences.The appointee will:assist the Associate Dean Research in activities relevant to the implementation of AUT and Faculty research strategy;develop and implement processes, procedures, and systems to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Faculty Research Office;support implementation of Faculty research events and development activities;oversee the administrative processes for internal funding opportunities;operate as the Faculty Research Elements Funding module console manager for external grant applications;support the business of the Faculty Research Committee; andliaise with our University Research Office to ensure smooth workflow between Faculty and Central research support systems.This position requires a candidate with an undergraduate qualification, demonstrated skills and experience in a similar position, and excellent written and oral communication skills. This is a full-time permanent position.Salary Range: $88,000 - $107,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)At AUT we strive to be a place where people love to work and learn.
