Makoha Rest Home is a privately owned boutique care facility located in Tauranga. It is dedicated to providing a warm, homely environment for up to 35 residents. We specialise in holistic care, offering home-cooked meals, engaging activities, and regular outings while delivering exceptional quality care. Our facility is where residents are respected, treated with dignity, and supported in a nurturing and compassionate environment.
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Registered Nurse to oversee the management of our Rotorua and Tauranga facilities. You'll guide our teams, mentor employees, and ensure the highest care and service delivery standards. This full-time role offers flexibility based in either Rotorua or Tauranga, with travel required between the two locations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire teams across both facilities and provide mentorship and support to staff.
Oversee clinical services, ensuring quality care that meets Ministry of Health standards.
Collaborate with residents, whanau, and health professionals to enhance wellbeing.
Manage all services, including nursing, domestic (kitchen, cleaning, laundry), therapy, administration, maintenance, medical (GP, specialists) and pharmacy.
Maintain safe and welcoming environments in both facilities.
What We're Looking For:
A Registered Nurse with leadership experience in aged care.
Rehabilitation experience is preferred but not essential.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to accept and overcome challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a pleasant and welcoming personality.
Enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative approach to leadership and management.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Quick learner who adapts to new situations with ease.
