Excited about promoting and coordinating Studio One Toi Tu and its multiple uses? We want to hear from you! We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facility Coordinator to join our small, dedicated team. Your role will be vital in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our historic facility, managing venue hire, supporting exhibitions, and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will also play a key role in promoting the centre to attract new customers, exhibitors, and participants.

Key responsibilities include: Overseeing daily operations. Managing venue bookings and coordinating hires, including handling agreements and contracts. Working closely with artists and curators to support exhibitions. Assisting in planning and delivering events such as markets, open days, school workshops, and community gatherings. The ideal candidate thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments, can connect with the creative community, and effectively balance multiple responsibilities. Flexibility is essential, as evening and weekend work will be required. Your excellent face-to-face customer service skills will help you build strong relationships with those who use the space.

To be successful in this role you will have: Prior experience in a front-of-house role or coordinating day-to-day operations in an arts or cultural setting. Demonstrable experience in supporting the management of facilities or venues. Proven ability in relationship and stakeholder management, particularly within arts or community environments. An understanding of the role of visual arts in fostering community cultural development. Strong skills in database administration and an eye for detail. Studio One Toi Tu is a vibrant community arts centre nestled in the heart of Ponsonby, Auckland. We are dedicated to fostering creativity, providing a space for artistic expression, and supporting the local arts community. Our facility hosts a diverse creative programme, including exhibitions, pop-up events, workshops for all ages, specialist studio hire, artist studios, and venue hire for both commercial and community purposes.
