Facilities & Security Assistant

Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Facilities and Security Assistant.
This exciting opportunity offers a reliable and committed individual the chance to join this fantastic team.Applicants should have experience of working in a similar environment and with young people.As key holder, the role includes:Opening, locking and securing the premises as part of your day/evening duties.Patrolling all areas of the college campus, responding, reporting, and dealing with any security issues.Assisting in general maintenance requests and general external housekeeping and groundworks.Viewing/accessing CCTV as and when requested.In the event of a security incident, keeping in regular radio contact with security staff and the Estates & Facilities Manager.The successful candidate will be required to possess a 3-day First Aid at Work certificate or be willing to work towards it within 6 months.
It is desirable that the candidate will also possess:Level 2 Equality & DiversityNVQ level 3 in Facilities ManagementPAT training or willingness to work towards it within 12 months.This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.Bishop Auckland College is an equality, diversity, and inclusive employer.
