About this role To plan, deliver and provide effective leadership for facilities compliance, maintenance, and renewal programmes across multiple buildings throughout the district. Manage safe practice processes for the delivery of timely and cost-effective works, with adherence to requirements used in the coordination of services to maintain RLC's fully compliant status relating to statutory and regulatory obligations under relevant Building and Health and Safety Act(s) – and/or any legal requirements imposed on RLC by local and/or regional government.
Skills and experience Required: Tertiary qualification in a related field.At least 3 years' experience in property/facilities and/or Health, Safety, and Facility compliance management.Qualifications or equivalent experience in some of the following:Financial systemsHealth and safety regulations and requirementsContractor/Vendor managementBWOF and compliance schedulesFire and emergency evacuation scheme creationFamiliarity with building trades, construction methods, and materialsAdvanced skills and knowledge of vendor/contractor and procurement management.Creation and/or management of Asbestos Management Plans and Asset Management Plans.Breadth of operational skills beyond the essential scope.Experience working with outside vendors under contract for major services delivery.Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.First Aid certificate.Te Kaunihera o nga Roto o Rotorua (Rotorua Lakes Council) is committed to working in partnership with Te Arawa, our local iwi.
