The Property Services Division is responsible for more than 22,000 hectares of land. We have almost 4,000 full-time employees and close to 21,000 students. The role/Te mahi
An exciting opportunity is available at the university for a dedicated and skilled Facilities Manager. You will oversee the effective management, maintenance, and strategic development of buildings and facilities, ensuring the efficient operation of all physical aspects, creating, and sustaining a safe and productive environment for our students.
The role involves coordinating capital works, procuring services, administering budgets and data analytics, while also formulating and executing facilities management plans that align with and advance the university's strategic objectives.
Your skills and experience/Ka Pukeka Me Ka Wheako
Ideally, you will have a Facilities Management or Building Services Qualification, or experience in Operations, Project, or Construction. You understand design requirements of specialised facilities such as complex and large occupancy buildings and have a strong understanding of property concepts and principles. You will also have a sound knowledge of building construction and costs, be compliance and safety focused with a clear understanding of the Building Act and the Health and Safety Act.
Able to demonstrate strong initiative and critical thinking skills, you will also have excellent verbal and written communication, a high degree of computer literacy and the ability to prioritise competing demands. This is a full-time (37.5 hours a week) permanent position based in Dunedin.
The appointment range for this position is $90,165 to $98,515 per annum. Top of range is $106,863.
