Our Council Facilities Team has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our awesome organisation. We're looking for someone who goes the extra mile for customers, and is solution orientated with a proactive approach.
Waikato District Council is home to over 150 facilities that provide services for our community to come together and connect, and the maintenance of these is the purpose of the Council Facilities Team. Our facilities range from libraries, aquatic centres, pensioner units, public toilets, all the way to changing rooms and pump sheds. As the Facilities Management Officer you will provide support and have oversight of the maintenance and care for all the facilities and our fleet.
What I do?
Based at our Ngaaruawaahia Office, you'll work closely with our contractors and internal and external customers while supporting the Facilities Team to keep the council assets/fleet maintained and compliant. Each day will be different, the tasks will vary and you will need to be adaptable in a fast paced and changing environment.
What I bring?
You'll have experience in facilities maintenance and contract management along with an understanding of local government. You will also be well versed with Fleet and Project Management. You'll be organised, show your initiative, and enjoy working with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
