We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide effective and efficient administration and coordination services for our Buildings and Safety team.
About the Role In this role, you will work closely with the Campus Services Manager, Facilities Supervisor, and the wider team. Your key responsibilities include :
Managing contractor coordination, ensuring compliance with Massey's Health and Safety regulations. Raising work orders, verifying, and logging all invoices. Managing the contractor access process. Gathering asset information, drafting and submitting planned maintenance routines, and developing business cases to replace End-of-Life equipment and assets. Providing a majority of the administrative support for the Facilities Management team. Qualifications and Experience We are looking for someone with a mix of the following skills and qualifications. While having all of these is ideal, we encourage you to apply if you have some of the key attributes :
Proven experience in maintenance planning and / or scheduling, with budgeting and expenditure management experience (or a strong trade background with an interest to learn). Training in one of the following : Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), Quality Assurance (QA), and ideally environmental legislation and systems is highly desirable. Experiencein Facilities Management (FM) for two years OR one year with an FM-related qualification at NZQA Level 4 is highly desirable. A minimum of a current New Zealand motor vehicle license for operation of a manual vehicle (Class 1). What We Are Looking For
Additionally, you'll bring : Strong customer focus, with a high level of confidentiality and discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and time management skills. Experience in a coordination or administration role, ideally within project delivery. Desirable Skills
Although not essential, the following skills would be an advantage :
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and regulations. Knowledge and experience in the use of digital Maintenance Management Systems. A technical background including project management and asset maintenance would be advantageous. Understanding of building maintenance procedures and the Building Act legislation.
