Te Kaunihera aa Takiwaa o Waikato (Waikato District Council) serves a large and diverse area, key towns include Raglan, Huntly, Ngaaruawaahia, Tuakau and Te Kauwhata. Smaller settlements include Gordonton, Matangi, Tamahere, Meremere, Port Waikato and Pookeno.

About this role:

A rare and exciting new opportunity for a Facilities Asset Engineer in our Community Assets team has come about and we are excited to offer you the chance to be part of not only this great team working across our district, but also a great organisation. This critical role will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring effective data management for all council assets.

What I do?

You will work to ensure asset and data management best practice to maintain and improve system, policies and processes.
Assist and support in the development and support of Asset Management Plans and LTP for all Council assets.
Implement and maintain high quality asset data and information. Ensure asset valuations and condition assessments are understood maintained.
You will add value to the organization by taking ownership and accountability for service delivery outcomes while ensuring a strong focus on customer service.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure positive and constructive relationships are fostered with all contacts.
Implement system and tool improvement initiatives.
Asset operational performance KPIs and targets are set, measured, reported and analysed to monitor and improve performance.

What I bring?

You have at least three years' experience in Asset and Data management.
You think strategically for effective planning and the ability to provide innovative initiatives.
You are a team player and have great people skills and customer centric.
You have Technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong understanding of asset lifecycle management within a public sector context.
Your ability to adapt to changing circumstances, requirements, and challenges is key to success.
Being able to quickly identify and resolve issues related to asset data.

Additional Information
Location: Ngaaruawaahia
Hours of work: 40 Hours per week
