Reporting to our Engineering Manager, we are recruiting for a Facilities and Utilities Engineer, with relevant industrial experience within the food, pharmaceutical or FMCG industries. This is a key role within our organisation to ensure the maintenance of our equipment, buildings, plants and services without compromising the health and safety of our staff, product safety or operational effectiveness.Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and have the ability to not just 'do the job', but to use their analytical and problem-solving skills to provide top level service to the manufacturing plants. Working as part of a maintenance team, candidates will have good interpersonal skills and an attitude for getting stuck in to get the job done.The hours for this position are 42 hours per week, from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. There will be occasional rostered Saturdays, overtime and call outs.Key responsibilities include:Collaborate with production, engineering, and service providers to resolve facilities issuesCoordinate with maintenance planners and contractors for efficient operationsEnsure compliance with BWOF and trade waste regulationsOversee calibrations, routine maintenance, and machine support for the engineering teamAssist the Engineering Manager with continuous improvement initiatives and effective communication with production and planning teamsQualifications and attributes required:5+ years in facilities maintenance, ideally in food manufacturing or related fieldsProficiency with boilers, chillers, HVAC, compressed air systems, BMS, and BWOF requirementsExperience in preventative maintenance and CMMS toolsStrong planning, problem-solving, and multitasking skillsResults-driven with a focus on continuous improvementAdaptable and effective in high-pressure, 24/7 manufacturing environmentsThese things will put you ahead of the crowd:Proven track record in facilities & utilities co-ordinationHVAC experienceA team player with a good attitudeWhat we offer:A competitive salary with some additional remuneration, dependent on the experience you bringA large range of heavily discounted productDiscounted health insuranceDay off on your birthdaySubsidised on site cafeteriaThe opportunity to be part of a high functioning positive teamPersonal development and trainingAbout Vitaco:At Vitaco, 'We Care, We Act, We Succeed'.
