Mo te tunga | About the role
Your role will be to work alongside people with a disability or long-term health need, who are seeking paid employment and/or looking to leave school into the next phase of their lives. Your responsibilities will include:
Working one-on-one with people with disabilities or long-term health need to seek employment
Working with young people with disabilities planning to leave school and seeking assistance on navigating the next steps
Establishing and maintain positive relationships - with the people choosing our services, your colleagues, potential employers, local community and other social and disability services
Nga pumanawatanga ou | What you will bring
Level 5 qualification or above ( essential )
Empathy for others and a passion for supporting people with a disability or health need
Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with employers and community support networks
Written and verbal communication skills to support engagement, rapport building, and advocacy
Ability to motivate, work independently, and a willingness to learn
Resilience to continue to establish desired outcomes when things may not go to plan
Clean NZ Full Driver's License, with the ability to travel as required
