About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an expert in Commercial Façades. This person will either be:
A suitably experienced Engineer or contractor with Façade experience
Or a Façade Specialist with an understanding of the engineering requirements
This person will join our Tauranga based team at a senior level. Reporting to the National Commercial Sales Manager, this role will be varied and challenging, supporting our Commercial business throughout the North Island.
The scope of work to be undertaken includes but is not limited to:
Provision of technical support for design intent to our Commercial Sales and Project Management teams as well as clients and architects.
Provision of early advice to clients on product specification for their projects. This would include providing technical advice to scope out the requirements for our in-house QS team to establish project budgets and refining through to quotation / contract pricing as the project design solidifies.
Developing solutions for project specific system requirements as the designs develop.
Work with suppliers, designers and engineers to provide compliance documentation as may be required. This would continue through the shop-drawing process, reviews and oversight of adherence to the design during the project completion.
You will be expected to keep abreast of standards and changes within the markets which NZWindows operates and ensure that all products designed conform to NZ Standards and the project specifics.
About you:
You will have an in-depth knowledge and practical experience with window and façade systems, from a design to installation perspective. You will also have sound computer skills including solid and demonstrable AutoCAD experience.
As this role is also customer facing, you must be able to converse proficiently with key stakeholders, NZWindows team members, and other industry specialists. The ability to represent NZWindows in a professional and knowledgeable manner to these groups is a key attribute.
Skills in the project development and design stage of façade projects is essential for this role. You will be required to communicate with all stakeholders during the development stage from conception through to complete design and then expected to provide support during the construction phase to maintain quality and cost-effective solutions for all situations. Understanding the cost/benefit trade-off of the systems on offer will be crucial in demonstrating the trust our clients have come to expect from NZWindows.
You will be fluent in English and enthusiastic with an inquisitive attitude.
On occasion, you will be required to travel outside of Tauranga to our projects between Auckland and Wellington or to our offices in Auckland.
