Tradestaff have Welder/Fabricator jobs available acrossthe Wellington region.
We are looking for Welder/Fabricator with background knowledge and experience with the following (but are not limited to):Performing welding and fabrication on a variety of projectsReading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsProficiently in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC)Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stockFabricating, shaping and bending custom metal components and pipes using hand and machine tools, plasma and laser cutters, and by heating and hammeringFabricating structural steel and other metal stock to repair metal products and structures such as boilers and pressure vesselsExamining welds for width of bead, penetration and precisionFinishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutionsJoining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting Ideally, you will be or have:Minimum 3+ years' experienceTrade qualifications preferred however scope and length of experience may substitute for the formal qualificationYour own toolsOwn reliable transportAt least 2 work references100% commitment to Health & SafetyAble to pass a pre-employment drug test

Minimum pay range $30-$38 depending on experience
