What you can expect: $38 - $42 per hour, with overtime paid after 40 hours. Weekend work is available for those seeking additional hours, and a standby allowance for call-outs, with a minimum of three hours overtime paid. You'll be working on diverse and engaging projects, including fabrication, mechanical installations, maintenance, breakdowns, and shutdowns – both in the workshop and on-site. Projects predominantly involve mild/carbon steel and stainless steel , giving you exposure to a range of materials and techniques. What you'll need: To be trade qualified with an NZQA Level 4 in Heavy Fabrication (or equivalent) and have at least 4+ years' experience in fabrication and welding post-apprenticeship. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding is essential, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and accurately measure up on-site , providing detailed site drawings . Welding and Fabrication: Carrying out MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to ensure precise fabrication of components. Project Execution: Interpreting technical drawings, measuring on-site, and providing accurate site drawings. You'll assemble and fabricate products to exact specifications.
