What you can expect: $38 - $42 per hour, with overtime paid after 40 hours. Weekend work is available for those seeking additional hours, and a  standby allowance for call-outs, with a minimum of three hours overtime paid. A chance to  advance your career with regular training and refresher courses and step up to higher duties as you advance. You'll be working on diverse and engaging projects, including fabrication, mechanical installations, maintenance, breakdowns, and shutdowns – both in the workshop and on-site. Projects predominantly involve  mild/carbon steel and stainless steel , giving you exposure to a range of materials and techniques. What you'll need: To be trade qualified with an  NZQA Level 4 in Heavy Fabrication (or equivalent) and have at least 4+ years' experience in fabrication and welding post-apprenticeship. Proficiency in  MIG, TIG, and ARC welding is essential, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and  accurately measure up on-site , providing  detailed site drawings . Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety are vital, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Welding and Fabrication: Carrying out MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to ensure precise fabrication of components. Project Execution: Interpreting technical drawings, measuring on-site, and providing accurate site drawings. You'll assemble and fabricate products to exact specifications. Quality and Safety: Conducting thorough quality checks on all finished products and maintaining a safe work environment in line with health and safety regulations.
