If you're looking for a fun, supportive environment where you can grow your skills and make a real impact, we want to hear from you!Location: Tokoroa, South Waikato RegionRemuneration: $30 - $40 per hour (based on experience)Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-time) PermanentWe are looking for a dedicated and skilled Fabricator/Engineer to join our team in the South Waikato region.
This permanent, full-time role is perfect for a motivated individual who is passionate about precision fabrication and engineering.
If you have experience in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
There is potential to progress in this position to more responsibility with workshop foreman/management for the right candidate.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding on a variety of materials, including aluminium and stainless steel, to produce high-quality components.Ability to assist with CAD Drawing & Water Jet cutting operations is an advantage.Support the engineering team in other fabrication tasks as required.Fabricate and assemble engineering components based on drawings and specifications.Ensure the fabrication work is performed with high precision and meets quality control standards.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the fabrication process to ensure efficiency and high-quality output.Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain productivity.Participate in continuous learning and improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge in fabrication and general engineering tasks.Ability to operate forklift competently.Key Requirements:Must be a qualified engineer, or mechanical engineering qualifications or relevant trade certificates (required).Proven experience in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, specifically with aluminium and stainless steel fabrication.Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, including the ability to interpret technical drawings.Ability to work with precision, ensuring all work is of the highest quality.A positive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Willingness to learn and take on new tasks within the fabrication and engineering process.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work.Benefits:Competitive hourly rate, based on experience ($30 - $40 per hour).A supportive and professional working environment.Opportunity to work with a dynamic and skilled team.Long-term, permanent position with stability and career growth opportunities.If you have a strong work ethic, a passion for high-quality fabrication, and are ready to take on a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.We currently have three Fabricator/Engineer positions available.How to Apply: Please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications to ******.
