Description L C Manufacturing Ltd (LCM) specializes in the custom design and manufacture of elevator componentry and are the New Zealand distributors for Stiltz Homelifts and Stannah Stairlifts.
We are looking for a person to join our Upper Hutt based team, in a diverse role. The successful applicant will work as both a Fabrication Assistant in our Factory and an Installation/Service Technician throughout NZ.
Factory duties will include the assembly, packing and dispatching of lift componentry, whilst off-site the technician duties will include the installation of homelifts and stairlifts, fault diagnostics and general service repairs.
We are looking for a motivated person with mechanical skills, as this role is a "hands-on" within a small team. The applicant should have the ability to use power tools and display a positive attitude to working. We will require you to work quickly, efficiently and sometimes without supervision. The role will encompass regular travel throughout New Zealand involving one or more nights away at a time.
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday. The applicant will need good communication skills, a current and clean drivers license, have a good physical fitness and able to lift up to 35kg, and enjoy being a team player.
We will require a police background check, and applicants need to have NZ residency or a valid NZ Work visa
