Extended Care Paramedic - The Doctors Bureta Upskilling and Training provided where required Join our committed, fun and supportive general practice team environment About the role The General Care Paramedic (GCP) is a paramedicine professional stream works and in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide care management and same day urgent care. Besides providing urgent care, GCPs attend both scheduled and unscheduled low acuity patients across the age range, where they undertake a thorough clinical assessment of the patient's medical history and condition, order any pathology testing as required, interpret the results, and based on a clinical diagnosis, institute a short to medium term care plan with appropriate medical referral as required. The GCP has a significant understanding of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and disease process.
This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours across Monday to Friday. Do you have what we are looking for? Degree in Paramedicine At least 2 years post-registration generalist clinical experience within an ambulance service. In-depth experience in clinical practice, ideally in a or a range of health and community service settings A good understanding of developing and maintaining clinical systems Demonstrated multi-stakeholder management, including health institutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build a strong rapport with team members. A physically fit person who is resilient, confident, friendly, and approachable.
