As well as providing Ambulance Services, our programmes and team of over 11,000 staff and volunteers are helping to build strong, resilient communities across the motu; supporting everyone in Aotearoa to live healthier, happier and longer lives.Job DescriptionWe are seeking Extended Care Paramedics with an interest in working in Primary Care and Rural Health Services to join our partnership with Te Whata Ora for Buller Health/Te Rau Kawakawa, providing primary, acute, and community care as part of a multidisciplinary team.This is an exciting 9-month fixed-term opportunity to practice paramedicine in a collaborative setting and gain exposure to the wider spectrum of health care. Applicants should be able to fit into new teams with ease, demonstrate initiative and adaptability, and be comfortable with new challenges. This role will involve practicing in local GP clinics and other community health facilities, providing care to patients in all ages and stages of health.Hato Hone St John will be the employer in these roles and provide line management and support; however, day-to-day tasking and supervision will come from the Buller Health leadership. This role will be working predominantly Monday to Friday during business hours. Hato Hone St John will continue to support your competence at your current practice level including access to road time, CCE, and contact with our local ambulance teams.This is a part-time opportunity working a 0.50 roster covering Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on a rotating basis.
