We have a relaxed and friendly office atmosphere, and value the diversity, inclusion and hauora of our people in every way possible.What you'll be doing:We're looking for an enthusiastic senior software programmer to work with our project teams on some exciting new interactive experiences and games with us. This person will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of these projects, and will help shape and create the best experiences possible. They will do this through writing quality code, but also by contributing to design discussions and proposing solutions to the day-to-day challenges of the overall development.What you'll bring to the table:You have either a qualification in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering) OR Professional experience in software development.Programming skills using C++Solid technical skills utilising Unreal Engine and/or other game engines used in the production of gamesGood grasp of source control systems, preferably Perforce.Experience with Unreal game development.You could have an understanding of Agile software delivery practices.You have experience working in a team of other programmers.Creating, implementing and optimising experience features.Estimating and planning upcoming features.Contribute to the design and direction of the experience.Ability to give and receive candid feedback and critique.Highly collaborative and open to working in a team environment.Enjoy a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, and solving problems on a variety of projects and contexts.Have a commitment to whanaungatanga - enjoy working with teams made up of a diverse range of people and skill sets.Demonstrate manaakitanga - love to inspire your team with a positive attitude and ability to lead by example.Able to work on-site with the rest of the studio in central Otautahi, Christchurch in Aotearoa New Zealand.
