We have a humble and down to earth team who are experienced logistics professionals who understand the nature of shipping.
One of our Shipping team members is about to be seconded into an internal opportunity, so we are looking for expressions of interest for a fixed term position to cover them.
Te Turanga | About the role: You'll be responsible for executing our export and domestic shipping requirements within a geographical area.
You will foster solid relationships with MPI, shipping and logistics carriers, NZ Customs and of course our internal stakeholders and our customers.
Key tasks include: Review and allocate inventory to meet contract requirements Liaise with shipping providers to secure and book shipping slots Offer sound customer service and resolve any issues in a timely manner Record shipping details into the Trade System Ou Pukenga | About You: You'll naturally be an organiser that loves variety and knows how to prioritise and work within a busy, fast paced team.
You will have outstanding attention to detail, sound computer skills with a demonstrated work history in the logistics and shipping space.
Additionally, you'll have: Proven experience gained working in exports, shipping or freight forwarding Preparedness to learn and apply knowledge of MPI regulations Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Strong computer and systems skills Te Ahurea | Why work at Silver Fern Farms?
