Te aheinga: The opportunity
As a Team Leader, you'll undertake the development and deployment of academic quality processes, documentation and systems that ensure Unitec's academic programmes are supported to achieve exceptional outcomes for our learners.
You will actively build strong partnerships with our internal stakeholders supporting and influencing academic quality throughout the organisation. You'll also lead a small cross-functional team, working closely with other Team leader and Senior Administrators to achieve outcomes.
The position requires a strong understanding of academic operations and quality assurance activities. You'll support the ongoing implementation of policy and procedure, including through the provision of workshops for Quality Administrators, reporting on outcomes, updating process guides, arranging training sessions and assisting with queries that arise from your team and academic staff across the institute.

You'll have:
An understanding or desire to learn te reo Maori, tikanga Maori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Maori
Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
Experience as people leader with a values-driven, solutions-focused approach, and strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
Analytical skills and be detail-focused, capable of retaining and recalling information, identifying issues, and creating solutions.
Strong communication skills with excellent written and verbal skills, able to break down complex information for diverse groups and respond professionally and timely to various situations.
Technological proficient, with high computer literacy, proficiency in Office applications and databases, and the ability to interpret and implement policy to achieve objectives.
Desirable:
Demonstrated expertise in facilitating and conducting workshops, with a proven ability to critically evaluate processes and recommend improvements.
Extensive experience collaborating with senior academic and professional staff within a tertiary education setting.
