Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleReporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Te Manawa Taki Region, this position is responsible for the delivery of health targets, including working with senior managers on the development of regional delivery plans, outsourcing arrangements, and monitoring of delivery against production plans to ensure equitable and optimal delivery. A primary function of the role is to be responsible for delivering against the health targets in conjunction with operational teams.The position will work with district, Commissioning, and NPHS teams to develop improvement plans and initiatives for performance improvement in relation to service delivery, with a particular focus on the Health Targets.About youWith over 10 years of experience in production planning and service performance monitoring in the health sector, you'll have a deep understanding and proven experience in managing operations within large and complex organisations.You've successfully contributed to the development and implementation of clinical services, ensuring they meet both the organisation and patients' needs. You'll have a solid understanding of New Zealand's Price Volume Schedule (PVS) and costing methods, which has helped you manage service budgets and ensure accurate financial planning.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in development and monitoring of production and performance improvement plans with senior clinical and operational leadersProven experience in development of strategic health service outsourcing requirements in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and in working with sourcing partners to establish contracts for deliveryCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Public sector and/or health sector experience essentialWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
