Principal Advisor Infrastructure and Asset Management - Ref:511Full Time - PermanentAbout the roleWe are looking for an experienced Principal Advisor who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and challenging role.
As a member of the Infrastructure and Asset Management team, your responsibilities will include:
Leading the delivery of projects, coordinating and managing the provision of information and advice from across the organisation.Providing advice to the Group Manager on long-term strategic and asset management business-related issues facing Infrastructure.Providing specialist advice for organisational engagement documents, including the Long Term Plan, Annual Reports, and strategy documents.Trouble-shooting for the Infrastructure and Asset Management group, working closely with the Group Manager and senior leaders to provide coordinated responses to difficult issues.Skills and Experience A relevant tertiary level qualification, preferably in the Civil Engineering field.Demonstrated experience working in the infrastructure and asset management sector.Demonstrated technical experience in the area of Infrastructure management and/or delivery.Ability to operate in a political environment with professionalism, integrity, diplomacy, and sound political acumen.Proven skills in project planning, budgeting, and risk management.Ability to persuade and influence, with effective negotiation, problem resolution, and change management skills.Demonstrated ability in successful team building and working as an effective team member.Commitment to providing excellent customer service.Effective interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service and capability for working with a wide range of people within and outside the organisation.Ability to build and maintain effective professional working relationships with key stakeholders based on a collaborative, collegial, and cooperative working style.Effective time management skills and ability to work effectively without supervision and collaboratively as an effective team member.Beautiful beaches and a short journey to or from Wellington make the Kapiti Coast a great place to live and work.
