Details of the offer

Nursing - Theatre & Recovery (Healthcare & Medical) Comparable to Hospital MECA without the shiftwork! At Eye Specialists, we're seeing growth in the number of people wanting to access high quality eye care and surgery across our Northland community. So we are excited to welcome an experienced Theatre Nurse to our team who can help us continue to provide the best ophthalmic service and care in Te Tai Tokerau. We have grown exponentially over the last year, and now we need you! The role: As a core member of our clinical Theatre team you will support our existing nurses and surgeons to ensure we provide highly effective and efficient health services. You will have plenty of patient contact, and be able to put people at ease with your professional and engaging personality. You will be able to support every aspect of an individual's journey through our on-site theatre - from pre-operative consent and preparation, to scrub and circulating roles, and post-operative monitoring and advice. We currently operate in Theatre Monday-Thursday, and the role will predominantly be required for the morning (7:45-14:15 approximately). Based in the Regent, on the Whangarei CBD fringe, this is a role that will keep you busy, and we will therefore only consider nurses with solid theatre experience. About you: As a passionate and inspirational personality, you are keen to progress your nursing career with a focus on ophthalmology. You will have at least three years post-graduate experience in a hospital/specialist theatre setting. Preferably you will have experience with ophthalmic procedures and specialist practice management systems, or be quick at learning new technologies, and can share your experience and knowledge to assist us as we grow. We have an excellent team of clinical, technical and administrative staff, so you'll need to be flexible and take a team approach, have an eye for detail, and be open to constant learning. You love your work, and truly appreciate the positive role of ophthalmology across our community. About Eye Specialists: We have a team of professionals, with experienced ophthalmic, nursing, optometrist, technician and administration roles working closely together in our purpose-built rooms in Whangarei. Our team have a depth and breadth of experience and access to state-of-the-art tools and equipment that makes our practice the leading service provider of ophthalmic care in Northland. We care about our patients, and we show it every chance we get! We offer a range of services including eye examinations, eye and eyelid surgery (mainly cataracts), glaucoma / macula degeneration / dry eye management, and laser refractive surgery. Apply now! We'd love to hear from you, so go ahead and hit the apply button now to send us your CV and a cover letter. Please note that we do NOT sponsor work visas, and will only consider applicants based in New Zealand. Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand? How many years' experience do you have as a Theatre Nurse? Are you currently registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand? What's your expected annual base salary? #J-18808-Ljbffr
