Experienced Store Person

Key Responsibilities:
l  Receiving incoming goods, inspecting for damage, and verifying discrepancies between goods and invoices.
l  Unloading vehicles, opening packages, and managing contents.
l  Using computers to locate and track stock levels and storage locations.
l  Labelling goods with accurate storage information.
l  Packing, weighing, and sealing boxes for shipping.
l  Operating machinery to lift, place, and remove goods from high levels.
l  Using specialised equipment, such as manually and electronically guided order pickers, to complete orders.
l  Assisting with regular stocktakes and inventory checks.
l  Operating materials handling equipment such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks for the movement of goods.
 
Requirements:
l   At least one year of relevant experience in the same industry (may substitute for formal qualifications).
l   Experience in on-the-job training or additional relevant experience is preferred.
l   Ability to operate specialised warehouse machinery and equipment.
l   Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
l   Good communication and teamwork skills.
l   The current police certificate and a drug test would be requested
