We are looking for an experienced solar installer to work with us.

Therefore a rounded 'trade' skillset and ability to find solutions to problems is invaluable.While there would be involvement in the electrical side, including assembling power rooms and installing inverters, batteries and generators, the primary focus of the role would be ensuring the solar array and mechanical aspects of the installations are done efficiently, safely and to an excellent standard.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for the planning and installation of solar arrays and 'mechanical' aspects of the installationInstallation of roof and ground-mounted solar arrays working with and managing other team members as appropriate.Organise efficient collection of materials and logistics for projects.Ensure timely and cost-effective project completion at the highest quality.Serve as a contact for operations/project management when required.Manage your own and installation safety per company policy.Communicate well with the team and customers.RequirementsPrior experience installing solar.Enthusiasm for renewable energies.Strong communication and problem solving skills.Full clean driving license.Helpful but not requiredKnowledge of solar electric systems.Working at Heights training.Valid first aid certificateWhat We OfferPositive work environment with a great culture and a focus on safety.Prime location in sunny Nelson.Full-time role – 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday (occasional overtime)Overnight allowance when working awayOtherPrimary place of work shall be Nelson and the surrounding areas, although we do travel and occasional installations where it is necessary to stay overnight (1-2 nights per month average)BackgroundCurrent Generation are a leading solar energy solutions provider based in Nelson, specialising in residential and small commercial solar installations.
