Who You Are

You are a qualified and professionally registered social worker with a solid understanding of the statutory guidance, legislation, and research related to adoption. You possess good assessment skills and have a comprehensive understanding of adoption social work practices and processes. You are knowledgeable about the needs of adopted children and are capable of working collaboratively with Local Authority Social Workers. Additionally, you understand Children Looked After policies and procedures.

What the Job Involves

This full-time Agency Social Worker position within the AiM Recruitment and Assessment Team involves preparing and assessing potential adopters, providing training, writing reports, attending AiM Adoption Panel meetings, and supporting adopters with children placed. You will work in an experienced adoption recruitment team, with the post seconded to Knowsley Children's Services, the host local authority. The position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week and offers agile working conditions within the AiM framework.
