Experienced Head Chef

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Lead Chef who wants to put their stamp on a new project. For our first summer of operation, we will be catering for functions as well as individual patrons, so the work will be varied. As the Head Chef, you'll take charge of all kitchen operations, from innovative menu planning to staff management. Daily Tasks Lead kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, taste, and presentation. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and a culture of excellence. Manage inventory, order supplies, and uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards. Control food costs and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies. Monitor guest feedback and continuously strive to enhance food quality and overall dining experience. Applicants Require Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume kitchen. Legal right to work in New Zealand. Culinary degree or Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) or equivalent. Strong culinary skills and a diverse knowledge of cuisines, cooking techniques, and current food trends. Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
