Experienced Fitter Welder Required (Workshop & Site Services positions available):
Coastal Services is a well-established growing company involved in all facets of engineering including fabrication, offshore, gas & petrochemical, mechanical, general & marine. We set high standards through the pride in our work and are committed to the well-being of our staff and Health & Safety in the workplace. We are currently building new facilities.
This role will require a large aspect of physical activity as you will be exposed to several environments, including work on board ships, confined space, and workshop fabrication/projects. You will also be required from time to time to work away from home.
The ideal candidate will have:
3-5 years' + experience
Preferably competent in carbon steel pipe welding, previously held ASME IX welder qualifications.
Competent in MIG, TIG and stick welding.
Capable of following instructions
Ability to read & interpret plans/engineering drawings.
Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment.
Good time management skills & work to a very high standard.
Demonstrate good Health & Safety practices and maintain this as a top priority.
Competent with a variety of power tools.
Physically fit & reliable
Have a current NZ driver's licence.
This role is full time working Monday-Friday from 7.00 – 3.30pm with the opportunity for a lot of overtime if desired.
