Experienced Dressmakers

Stitch Perfect is seeking two experienced Dressmakers to join our team. We specialise in a wide range of products, from beautifully knit garments to tailored wovens and from delicate silk chiffon dresses to robust wool melton coats. The positions are permanent full-time, 30 hours from Monday to Friday, and may require working weekends if there is urgent work involved.  The rate is 29.66 to 32.00, depending on your skills and experience.    Construct garments and other items from scratch, following patterns and design specifications. Alter and tailor garments according to customer needs and specifications. Work with a variety of materials, including knit fabrics, woven fabrics, silk chiffon, and heavyweight wool. Collaborate with the design team to interpret and realise designs. Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct garments and other textile products. Ensure high-quality finishes on all products, including complex garments and delicate fabrics. Assist in the design and prototype phases for new products. Skills & Experience : Must have at least 3 years of work experience in the apparel industry and in making full, complete garments.  Strong sewing skills and familiarity with industrial sewing machinery. Ability to work with a wide range of fabrics and materials. Keen attention to detail and dedication to quality. Creative skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a design team. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Note: We take the health and safety of our team members very seriously.
