About the Role Position: Casual Ships Crane and Digger Operators [Multiple Positions available]
We are looking for AM & PM casual crane and digger operators. Your primary skill will be a crane or digger operator. This means you will be responsible for loading logs and other products onto ships or you will be involved in the discharge of bulk products like palm kernel and grains. However, you will also be trained in other general stevedoring tasks as you are first and foremost a stevedore and you will be part of a specialized team of workers who can handle every challenge that comes at us.
Location: New Plymouth Port Status: Experienced crane and digger operators will start on $47.54 with the potential to move up to $52.29 once signed off. As a casual, you are on a "as and when required" basis working 12-hour shifts.
Requirements: Must have either crane or digger experience. Log handling is desirable. You need a valid NZ Drivers license. You need to have the right to work in New Zealand. You need to care about health and safety for yourself and others. You must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check, ACC check and a drug and alcohol test [note, random drug and alcohol testing is compulsory]. What we can offer you: Great starting pay rate.
