Experienced Addiction Social Worker/Case Worker 2ICExperienced Addiction Social Worker/Case Worker - Second in Charge Position About The Salvation Army Auckland Bridge Centre The Salvation Army Auckland Bridge Centre exists to provide safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use. Our services are evidence-based best practice and are known for being people-centred, caring, transformative and responsive. We are looking to appoint an experienced qualified Addictions social worker/caseworker (min 5 yrs experience) who can support the Team Leader as Second in Charge for our residential programme based in Mt Eden, Auckland
Provision of casework that provides integrated care for those experiencing co-existing problems of addiction and mental health.Group facilitationWorking within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of TreatmentImplementation of the Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies and ProceduresAct into the Team Leader position as neededOrientation of new staffCo-ordinate monthly staff in-services and Tangata guest speaker scheduleOn-call responsibilities as rosteredPerson Specification: Degree in Addiction counselling or Social WorkExcellent written and oral communication skills.Full professional registration - SWRB/DAPAANZ/NZACExperience managing staffCommitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction studies.Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy, and confidentialityOur offer to you:  10 x study days for study relevant to the roleDiscounted Medical Insurance with Southern Cross TSA discount card for discount with various retailers such as Beaurepaires, Noel Leeming, Placemakers and Torpedo7 Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeingSubsidised flu vaccinationsA position within a long-standing, respected nationwide organisation Opportunities for growth and development Hours of work: This is a permanent full time role of 40 hours per week.
The starting salaryfor this role falls between $86178 - $102000 annually depending on clinical and line management experience as per Social Work Pay Equity.
