The Opportunity
We are looking for an Expenditure Analyst to join our Finance team on a full time, permanent basis in our busy Dunedin office.
The purpose of this position is the processing of Councils expenditure and maintaining the ORC procurement system.
As an Expenditure Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring compliance with the ORC procurement policy for all expenditure transactions
Processing authorised creditor invoices in a timely manner
Investigating and responding to all suppliers or ORC staff queries in relation to creditors
Making manual accruals monthly for expenditure, prepayments, and retentions
Reporting on expenditure levels and analysing expenditure data

About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualification in accounting or business management
A full NZ drivers' licence
10 years accounts payable experience
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Advanced Excel skills and experience
Strong organisational skills and processes
