Expedition Specialist - Sales and Reservations Heritage Expeditions, pioneers in responsible, small-ship expedition cruising, is expanding its Christchurch-based head office and are looking for a Sales & Reservations focussed expedition specialist (read Superstar) to join our hard-working team as we enter an exciting new phase of growth.
We have been sharing some of the world's most remote shores and coastlines, exploring pristine wildernesses and enjoying unique wildlife encounters and unforgettable cultural exchanges with our intrepid guests on bucket list voyages since 1984. If you love travel, enjoy wildlife and natural history and have a good worldwide geographical knowledge with a passion for sales, you might be the person we are looking for.
This is a newly established role as a part of our small busy and friendly Reservations team. This position will be focussed on sales working with both direct clients and the travel trade from around the world.
We are looking for a self-motivated person with all or most of the following skill sets:
Highly organised and focussed with good time management
Ability to multi-task
Great computing skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills written and verbal
Experience in the travel industry is an advantage but not essential
Sales driven with a proven track record of sales success
A passion for travel, wildlife and the great outdoors is a definite advantage and a positive, hard-working, can-do attitude is essential.
