This role will work very closely with the Director of Operations and Operations Manager and will assist with the day to day planning of domestic and international trips in relation to:Work with international and domestic tour companies to build expedition itineraries to provide the exceptional experience that Heritage Expeditions is known to deliver.Organize and communicate plans prior to and during changeover days and be available for any issues that might occur during changeovers, including weekends, for which time in lieu will be provided.Researching foreign, possibly unfamiliar, areas to build the best experiences possible for our guests while in those areas.Coordination of domestic and international suppliers including food, buses, helicopters, tour companies, and more.Port Management.Plan, coordinate, and procure staff travel to/from boat.General Reporting.Day to Day admin of an active Operations Department.Potential for working aboard the ships to manage and experience first hand some of the voyages employee has planned.The company is going through a growth stage and, with the recent and ongoing increase in international travel, there is the opportunity for this role to grow in the future.About YouOur ideal candidate is an individual with good administration skills including:Very strong attention to detail.Highly developed communication and written skills.Exemplary skills in planning and time management.Ability to take direction and follow instructions while dealing with changing situations on a daily basis.Hardworking, proactive and self-driven.Ability to "think outside the square".Flexibility to think on feet and adjust to highly fluid and dynamic situations quickly and effectively.Ability to work both collaboratively or individually.Passion for providing and delivering a high level of customer service.Highly skilled with Microsoft programmes.What we OfferThis is a permanent, full-time role, based in Christchurch.
