Mo te tunga - About the role Chlöe Swarbrick, MP is looking for an MP Support Advisor to join their team in the Electorate/Community office in Auckland, for 40 hours per week. This is a wide and varied position providing community engagement and constituent services. You'll be providing information and support to constituents, helping your MP engage with the community, and supporting your MP's activities in the community. The ability to build strong and trusted relationships is key to being successful in this role. To kete - What you will bring to the role You'll need to have strong relationship management and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work with a diverse range of people and organisations. You'll be a key player in the MP's support team based out of the Auckland office, although at times will be required to work autonomously. Your friends and whanau describe you as community-minded, technologically savvy, proactive, and willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done! You have a high level of empathy and cultural sensitivity and no matter who you're engaging with, you leave them feeling supported and valued. You'll be well known for your proactive, driven, and resilient character. As an employee of Parliamentary Service, you will be politically impartial in your role. An awareness of the political landscape may be beneficial in supporting your MP.
