About the Role XRB is seeking an experienced professional to provide executive management, strategic advice, and support to the Chief Executive (CE), Leadership Team, and Board.
Reporting directly to the CE, you will work closely with them to help carry out their responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
This will involve managing workflows, anticipating challenges, and offering proactive recommendations across your remit.
A key aspect of the role is supporting governance processes, including agenda and minute preparation and managing nominations and appointments.
You will also oversee the CE's calendar and ensure seamless communication across the Leadership Team, the XRB Board, and the wider XRB team, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Minister's office and Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
You will effectively balance providing high-level strategic advice with hands-on operational responsibilities, managing administrative tasks and key deliverables across the organisation.
The role requires a strong communicator, ownership of key deliverables, excellent organisational skills, and flexibility.
About You You may come from either a private or public sector background, ideally bringing a good understanding of the public sector.
You will excel in a small, close-knit team environment that fosters a supportive culture and be willing to take a hands-on approach when necessary.
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, including Boards and leadership teams.High-quality written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and provide effective advice.Sound judgment and strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.The ability to prioritise and manage workloads for senior leaders.Experience in a role that blends strategic advice with operational support.Understanding of the public sector and relevant stakeholders, with the acumen to navigate complex processes.
