Established in 2019, Communities Resist has rapidly grown into a $4.3M organization, serving over 4,000 households across NYC, with a primary focus on Brooklyn and Queens.
Role Responsibilities: The Executive Director role is multifaceted, requiring strategic leadership, board engagement, financial stewardship, and program expansion. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board to create a sustainable strategic plan, responding to growing community needs, and executing it with precision in areas like programmatic excellence, fundraising, and communications.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably in nonprofit leadership roles. A commitment to social justice causes, strong organizational and communication skills, and a proven track record of effectively leading and scaling organizations are essential.
Financials and Compensation: Communities Resist offers a competitive salary in the range of $145,000 – $175,000. The organization is committed to fiscal responsibility, and the Executive Director will play a crucial role in financial management, diversifying revenue streams, and stewarding funds effectively.
