Cafe Executive Chef
We have a busy full time role for an executive chef Wednesday- Sunday  (contracted minimum 30m hours a week) pay rate $30-$33 per hour.
A diploma or advanced diploma in cookery to at least level 4 is required.
This role requires you to open the kitchen daily, complete baking at 5am for 7am open, then run the kitchen till your finish time of 2pm.
We require an exceptional kitchen manager with minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
You will need to new capable of training and mentoring staff for this role.
You will liaise with the working owner and general manager and be capable of heading food control audits, completing rosters, stream lining kitchen operations, managing 10 kitchen staff, keeping on top of kitchen accounts and ordering, have great knowledge of costings, budgets and working knowledge of NZ food safety standards.

Other requirements:
Clean criminal record.
A current Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.
A  Full New Zealand Car Drivers license.
Be able to pass a Pre employment drug test and follow ups tests.
Be Non Smoking or vaping.
Be able to supply 2 references from previous roles that demonstrate your ability to meet high levels of food preparation and staff management.

You will also need strong computer skills for this role and be able to use spreadsheet and document creation programmes to produce kitchen information.
