We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the University Librarian.
The University Librarian provides leadership, direction and excellence in the provision of information services, resources, and facilities to advance the university's strategic goals, recognising the diversity and needs of all stakeholders.
The University Library's vision is to be Te Tiriti-led connectors of people and knowledge.
The Library operates across 11 sites in Dunedin, Wellington, Christchurch and Invercargill, with a team of over 100.
Key responsibilities in this role include: Being the first point of contact for the office of the University Librarian, anticipating needs, assessing, and prioritising requests with urgency.Comprehensive inbox and diary management, triaging correspondence, supporting meeting administration, alongside event preparation and coordination.Drafting high-level communication and documentation on a range of matters.Reporting and data analysis is a focus in this role, assembling, reviewing and summarising statistics and information.Serve as a liaison between the University Librarian and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in an ever-evolving environment.
You will have proven experience as an EA or in a similar role, ideally within a higher education or large organisational setting.

The appointment range for this role is $73,073 to $79,351 per annum.
Top of the range is $85,749.
