Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer PA, EA & Secretarial (Administration & Office Support) Are you a dynamic, intuitive, and meticulous professional with a knack for planning and a keen eye for detail?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Far North District Council to cover staff on secondment, concluding early January 2025.
Te Wero - The Challenge Key Accountabilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the CEO, including complex diary management, host management, internal and external communications, and coordinating any required catering/hospitality services and travel arrangements.
Manage CEO meetings and workshops, including communications, planning, and logistics.
Coordinate stakeholder information on behalf of the CEO in conjunction with others in the Executive Office.
Anticipate needs in advance by proactively coordinating briefing information ahead of meetings and prioritising workflows to ensure the CEO is always well prepared.
We are looking for someone who is relationship-based and can build effective networks across the organisation and with external stakeholders, contributing to the Executive Office's reputation for customer excellence.
Being the EA to the CEO is the ideal opportunity for someone who is self-aware, has great intuition, excellent communication skills, and is meticulous about planning and tying up the loose ends.
We are ideally looking for a candidate who possesses: Agile, smart and have a bold approach to your work.
Ability to see ten moves ahead and anticipate issues before they become full blown problems.
Discretion - it goes without saying that there will be a number of confidential matters that come across your desk.
Expert communication ability - real people skills to liaise with people, dealing with customer enquiries and paying real attention to detail.
A great sense of humour - this will help develop great relationships with colleagues across governance and operations.
A wealth of experience supporting executive level management roles.

The salary for this position is Grade 14 within Council's salary structure (Band: $69,619 to $81,901 pro rata per annum) dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
