Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Maori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Maori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Maori.
We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.
This is an opportunity to support our Group Manager, Primary Care within Commissioning. As the Executive Assistant, you will provide high quality, timely, one-to-one executive support, including dealing with matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for managing the Group Managers schedule and communications, coordinating meetings, managing their inbox, acting as a central point of contact, and drafting documents and reports.
You are a professional EA, with a history of supporting key leaders in large organisations. Past employers would describe you as someone who proactively identifies continuous improvement opportunities, and you drive your own professional development in line with industry and sector trends.
Experience with calendar management and meeting coordination and arrangements for Senior Leaders.Experience with secretariat duties, including minute taking and collation.Experience with financial administration such as processing invoices, reconciling payments and financial reporting as required.Experience with making travel arrangements and booking accommodation.Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with senior Ministry officials and with health sector leaders.Assists other support resources, such as Team Administrators to help them to be successful in their roles.Experience in, or exposure to, project co-ordination.Experience developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Maori and Pacific Peoples groups.Nau mai, uru mai | Come and join us When you join us, you become part of transforming the health system.
