We offer flexible working practices, relocation assistance and a host of benefits including heavily discounted access to our health and fitness facilities and Southern Cross health insurance.What you'll be doing / He aha te mahiSupporting the General Manager of Assurance Finance & Risk, you will be primarily responsible for providing exceptional executive support ensuring the GM's needs are always met. You'll be responsible for diary management, assisting the General Manager Assurance, Finance & Risk with tasks as required in a timely manner, and liaising with a range of staff and other stakeholders on their behalf.You'll be ensuring the GM has all the information required before meetings and help to prepare reports and other material for executive leadership team, council meetings and other committees, as well as providing administrative support to the wider team.The role will also involve:Meeting preparation and minute takingProviding a high level of administrative support including word processing, excel spreadsheets, InDesign and PowerPoint presentationsRaising and receipting purchase ordersEvent co-ordination including organising travel, accommodation, training, catering and other tasks as requiredLiaising with other departments to promote seamless processes across departmentsAlways delivering high quality customer service.What you'll bring to the role / Ko wai to PukekaYou'll have a diploma (NZQA Level 5) qualification in business administration or similar and 3+ years experience in executive/personal assistant or office management. You'll be a highly organised and motivated individual with a strong ability to effectively multitask.To best succeed in this role, you'll have:Previous experience in a local government environment is advantageousExperience using Teams, and Microsoft Office to a high levelExperience with invoicing processes – a bonus but not essentialDemonstrated ability to take on responsibility and use initiative to prioritise work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationshipsWell-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.To apply, please follow the link and apply online with your CV and Cover Letter.
