About Us: Hays is working with a well-established civil construction company operating in the Wellington region. They specialise in excavation, site preparation, and civil works. As they expand their team, they are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join them.
Role Overview: As an Excavator Operator, you will be a key player in our projects. Your primary responsibility will be operating excavators and other heavy machinery to perform tasks such as digging, trenching, and material handling. Safety, precision, and efficiency are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate excavators ranging in size.
Perform excavation, grading, and earthmoving tasks as per project requirements.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an excavator operator.
Valid W.T.R.
Knowledge of trenching, backfilling, and earthmoving techniques.
Reliable and punctual.
