Otago Rugby Football Union – Dunedin, South Island
The Otago Rugby Football Union (ORFU) is the governing body responsible for supporting the development and coordination of rugby in Otago. The Union has a proud history of delivering rugby at all levels across the province and is currently seeking applications from experienced events and marketing professionals to join our Dunedin based team. This full-time role will be responsible for managing the ORFU's marketing strategy, planning and delivering high quality events and functions, and taking a lead role in the delivery of National Provincial Championship and Farah Palmer Cup Match Days (excluding rugby operational delivery).
This role will also manage the ORFU's digital platform, assist the Commercial Manager with commercial obligations and relationship management, along with developing relationships and coordinating the publication of press releases with local and national media.
This role requires applicants to possess:
An Event Management / Marketing qualification or similar
Creative and design experience
Social Media content development experience
Event management experience
Sound understanding of events and marketing
Experience in working with the media
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
A positive attitude and an ability to work unsupervised
