You will lead the charge in delivering PHANZ's national and international events on a range of public health topics from start to finish. This includes orchestrating national conferences, collaborating with our dynamic team to deliver innovative in-person, hybrid and virtual events, and ensuring strong, positive relationships with stakeholders such as event committees, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers.You will excel in handling tasks with efficiency and precision, ensuring everything is executed seamlessly, drafting all relevant communications as required, and proactively seeking funding opportunities to support and enhance PHANZ's events and initiatives. Join us and make a difference in Public Health by creating events that inspire and drive meaningful health outcomes for New Zealanders.Key RequirementsExperience and QualificationsAt least 3 years' experience in the events industry and qualifications in events management or similar.Demonstrated ability to conceptualise, strategically manage, and deliver multiple high-profile events.Proven track record in successfully building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders involved in events.Technical SkillsProficiency in event management software, video editing, and publishing software.Familiarity with current and emerging social media platforms and relationship databases.Communication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure, managing competing timelines.Flexibility and CommitmentAbility to work out of hours for events or international virtual meetings and travel as required.ResponsibilitiesEvent Coordination: Lead the coordination of PHANZ's national and international conferences in-person, or via hybrid and virtual formats.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including event committees, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers.Event Management: Manage events through event management software, including creating registration forms, websites, and processing payments.Marketing and Communications: Assist with developing marketing materials for events, such as flyers, sponsorship brochures, and banners.Operational Efficiency: Manage the application of PHANZ's policies, protocols, and templates for events.Implementation: Support and lead contractors and event staff to deliver up to 5-6 national and international events annually.Software and Digital Platforms: Maintain and manage event-related software and digital platforms to ensure efficacy in delivering PHANZ events.Team Collaboration: Engage with PHANZ staff to ensure synergies exist between the events agenda and the broader work of PHANZ.Professional Development: Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.Impactful Work: Contribute to meaningful policy development that supports health equity in Aotearoa New Zealand.Collaborative Environment: Work with a dedicated and passionate team committed to making a difference.How to ApplyPlease submit, in confidence, your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this position to ****** by 5pm, Friday 9 August.Join us in our mission to advocate for better health outcomes and health equity in Aotearoa New Zealand.PHANZ is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
