This person will lead the design, strategic planning, promotion, facilitation, and delivery of world-class events that align with Te Papa's strategic goal and are commercially viable.To be successful in the role, you'll bring the followingAt least five years proven work experience in event management, event business development, event delivery and event coordination, preferably within the cultural, arts, or hospitality sectors. Experience managing large-scale events is essential.Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of New Zealand's cultural landscape, with a commitment to Te Papa's bicultural values and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. Ability to exercise tikanga Maori, including a basic understanding of te reo Maori.You will be a self-starter, highly motivated, and excited to develop relationships with clients and plan the delivery of key events with exceptional service. Attention to detail will be your superpower.
