Events Lead – Fixed Term

We're looking for a food-trucking legend to hit the road with our truck and trailer this summer with the events team.
We're looking for a fixed term person who gets our brand and is excited to join the Duck Island family.
The position will ideally start in October; however, we are flexible on this and there is an opportunity to extend for the right candidate.
The hours will vary between 20-30 hours per week depending on bookings with an hourly rate of $27 p/hour.
You'll receive full scoop training here at our Grey Street store so that you can hit the road with ice cream confidence.

We don't book events between Christmas & New Years, so you can enjoy your holiday season.
However, if you are keen for hours, there are plenty available at our scoop shop or factory.
The primary responsibilities of this role will be: Driving our Duck Truck and Trailer to a variety of events this summer.
Supporting event logistics before, during, and after events, including but not limited to vehicles, stock, and staff.
Ensuring the truck and trailer are looked after and running like a well-oiled machine.
Managing our food safety and compliance systems throughout the shift.
Ensuring things are running smoothly and taking charge when they're not.
Scooping ice cream and making peoples' day!
You are: A capable and confident driver with experience driving trailers and vehicles.
A problem solver, trouble shooter, and all-around practical "can-do" person.
Responsible and responsive.
Flexible: up for late night missions and weekend shifts with possible irregular hours if required.
Down to deliver awesome customer service in a fast-paced environment.
