Would you like to be part of an amazing team that creates memorable events for the renewable geothermal energy industry?We have a 6-month, fixed term opportunity (8-10 hours per week) to join our small (but mighty) team at the New Zealand Geothermal Association, starting in February. As the Event Delivery Coordinator, you will support the delivery of a number of events during the 2025 New Zealand Geothermal Week (28 July - 02 August 2025) in Taupo. You will play a key role in helping to create opportunities for our community to come together and enjoy shared experiences.About this role:8-10 hours per weekPreferably in lower or central North Island.$30-$35 per hour.Secondment or job-sharing are welcome.The role is remote, with the exception of the week of NZ Geothermal Week being Taupo-based.This role includes:Supporting NZGA staff in the development of the 2025 New Zealand Geothermal Week events. E.g. Administering sponsorship packages and organising field trips.Supporting the preparation of the annual New Zealand Geothermal Association Annual Winter Seminar as part of the New Zealand Geothermal Week events.Support the delivery of 2025 New Zealand Geothermal Week events.Ad hoc administrative support.About you:Previous experience in event management or project management (2+ years).Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.Experience within the energy / geothermal sector an advantage.Proven ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, groups and organisations.Able to provide your own laptop and mobile phone.If you want to be part of an energetic, fun and supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
